I was a karaoke singer first who found that most karaoke bars did not have a very good karaoke system and a VERY slim, outdated music selection. I was constantly struggling to hear myself over the blaring music, hurting my voice because I felt like I had to sing so loudly just to compete with the loudness of the music, and dealing with an inattentive host who had no real pro sound training and didn't really know how to use that cracker jack box karaoke setup. So, I decided to build a custom sound system with the help of a veteran of the music sound business and raise the bar for what karaoke can be. I hope you don't laugh, but I find it difficult to sing karaoke on any other set up but my own now.
